Join us for a hike in Flanders to explore Birch Creek and Owl Pond. We’ll walk through an Atlantic white cedar grove, a kettlehole, as well as some beautiful rolling pine barrens terrain. The 2.5-3 mile walk will be led by Lee McAllister, author of the book Hiking Long Island and a naturalist/photographer familiar with the land and its history. Meet on Spinney Road Trail Parking in Flanders.

Directions: Take the LIE east to exit 71 (NY-24 S/Edwards Avenue S). Continue on NY-24 for 8.6 miles. Turn right onto Spinney Rd and park in the trail lot on the right side of the road.
